Connecticut Wine Trail

Over the years, living in Connecticut, I enjoyed many wonderful times visiting the State's Wine Trail.  My absolute favorite is Priam Vineyards.  Picturesque in Colchester, CT.  This vineyard  amplifies the New England tradition with their fine wines and elegant tasting room.  Their "Salmon River White" wine is a favorite of mine.  A smokey oak, peach and honey dew melon aroma and my palate is refreshed with a nice fruit finish. Priam Vineyards recommends it with spicy foods such as Sechuan, Indian and Thai.  I have enjoyed it with Indian Chicken with Curry and it is an awesome combination.  I  am partial to red wines; but, I find "Salmon River White is a fermented off-soft, dry chardonnay", that will definitely please.  Visit  http://www.priamvineyards.com/. for more info.
Whether you are out on a spontaneous drive through the scenic roads of Connecticut or planning a special day; the wine trail is sure to make your trip rewarding and memorable!
September and October are harvesting months....make this coming autumn a special time by seeing Connecticut's beautiful foliage and picking up great award winning wines for up and coming holidays.   See you at the vineyards!
